Good for you Joy! And yes don't try and recoup any $$ from Dallas on the clothes. Too many have tried and failed. Love your statement about what has worked in just 1 week in what over a year couldn't do.

Hey Joy, Sparky gives some good ideas. Also get a cooler or something that you can carry with you. That way a salad can keep. You can add some grilled chicken or shrimp to it for your protein also.

Glad to have you on board Joy and as you can see from what DDP says, YRG is it's own beast. Can't wait til you're 30, 60, 90 etc days in and see the progress and then let us know. Also how old is your son? It will definitely help him.

Day 1

I have been wanting to try yoga for sometime now. I finally found a local class in my budget and schedule and went. I couldn't walk for 3 days after and in fact it scared me away from the gym for almost 3 whole weeks. One morning while driving to work I heard DDP on the Monsters in the Morning Real Radio 104.1 and knew instantly this program was for me! I got online and watched Arthurs video as soon as I got home and couldn't wait to order it. I finally placed my order the following Friday and… Continue

Make NO mistake about it as Great as the YRG workout and food plans are (notice I didn't use the word DIET... DIETS... DIE) the reality is they are only 10% of your solution... the 90% is between your ears... What YOU tell yourself... ie I'm an emotional eater... I'm the King or Queen of EXCUSES... I'm really bad at this or that or that and this... my point is WE ARE WHAT WE TELL OURSELVES WE ARE... I wanna to Help you Own your LIFE and your Success by teaching you to Live LIFE @ 90%..

Welcome to Team YRG Joy! Congratulations on choosing better health. YRG is an amazing tool of transformation if you work it. And this is a great community of support, without which I wouldn't be where I am: 170 pounds lighter and unquantifiably freer. I was 345 when I started YRG and clean eating in January 2009. It's possible. It requires focus, determination, and some sacrifice, but I feel so much better when I'm moving, getting stronger, and eating clean. The habits I've acquired through YRG and DDP's advice (he totally walks the walk, too) are habits I want for LIFE. I do a blog on the journey, the one that never ends: http://staceymorris-hungryforthetruth.blogspot.com .

Joy,
Welcome to the YRG family. Stick with it and own your life and you will exceed your goals. If there is anything I can do to help, just ask. This site is the best support site in the world. You will get a ton of motivation, inspiration, and help. You get out of it what you put into it however. Keep us posted and if you have a question, ask. And trust me, it can be done.

Hey Joy,

I wanted to welcome you to Team YRG. I joined YRG with little confidence in myself back in June 2010 at 305 Lbs. and little flexability . I have come a long way in such a small amount of time. On September 8,2010 I weighed 223 Lbs. and I have seriously improved on the flexability. When I first got the food plan I was like what? Are you serious? There is no way! I have come to find out with my own modification I have owned it. That's what YRG is about owning your life. Remember times will get hard and you might fall, but you need to remember it's not how many times you fall down that counts, It's how many times you get yourself back up again. Now if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask me; If I can't answer them I will help you find someone who can. Now get out there and OWN IT!

God Bless,
Rev. Kevin Tankersley
