Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do the 5 in 7 - I was away at a family funeral this weekend and had no time to workout, so I'll have to catch the next one, I suppose. Gonna continue to do the challenge anyway.

I weigh what now??

Posted on January 30, 2012 at 6:30am 4 Comments

I'm about two weeks in on the gluten-free/dairy-free diet, and I'm on about Day 12 of the DDPYOGA routine. Just out of curiosity, I checked my weight yesterday morning to see how I was progressing in terms of weight. About three weeks ago, I weighed in at the doctor's offce at around 193 lbs.

Yesterday, when I weighed, I clocked in at 181.

Seriously?? 12 pounds in two weeks? Is that even possible??

Well, the answer is yes. I weighed myself three different times in three…

Cutting a diamond out of the rough

Posted on January 24, 2012 at 10:41am 1 Comment

So, here I am on Day 7 of the DDPYoga workout plan, and Day 14 of my gluten-free/dairy-free diet. Already I'm further along than I have been with any other workout program. P90X? Tried it for two days and quit. Couldn't stand listening to the head guy on the DVDs. 5 Day Fit Pilates? Did it the first day and got bored with it.

But this... this is something good here.

And I'll tell you what the difference is: approachability. DDP will tell you the difference is Dynamic…

Welcome to Team DDPYOGA Brad!  Congratulations on choosing better health.  DDPYOGA is an amazing tool of transformation if you work it.  And this is a great community of support, without which I wouldn't be where I am:  185 pounds lighter and unquantifiably freer.  I was 345 when I started DDPYOGA and clean eating in January 2009.  It's possible. It requires focus, determination, and some sacrifice, but I feel so much better when I'm moving, getting stronger, and eating clean.  The habits I've acquired through DDPYOGA and Dallas' advice (he totally walks the walk, too) are habits I want for LIFE. I do a blog on the journey, the one that never ends:  http://staceymorris-hungryforthetruth.blogspot.com .

DDPYOGA is one of the best support systems I've found - and here's a way you can get and give support through DDPYOGA:  tune in to DDPYOGA Radio at 9 p.m. every Wednesday.  It's an amazing forum where questions are answered, concerns are addressed and triumphs are shared.  The more people who show up, the more powerful the show is.  Hope you'll spread the word and be there! You'll be here a while, that's for sure!  I remember not being a part of the community since 2009, then I came back late 2011 for trying to hit all my goals again.  We never forget our own.  ;)  Best community ever, hands down.

Welcome to the Team! I'm Arthur. I've been doing DDPYOGA since Feb 2007, and I am THRILLED with the results. I feel much better, and I can do things that I could not do before. I have lost weight and I am stronger - I feel like a new person. I have regained flexibility that I thought I'd lost forever - not just due to injuries but age as well. I'm more flexible now than I have ever been. If you work the program consistently, you’ll be amazed at the results.

When I started this program, I was in really BAD shape. I was dangerously unhealthy.  I really expected to die due to weight and poor health.  I had a bad back, much pain and VERY limited mobility.  I needed crutches to walk. Now, I expect to live a long and healthy life.   Now I teach classes 4 nights a week! DDPYOGA really helped me to 'get it back together.'  I am sure that it can help anybody who sticks with the program.

DDPYOGA has a lot of strength and power moves in it.  Working with muscle engagement will help you to develop endurance without aerobics.  DDPYOGA allows you to experience and intense aerobic workout on your mat without all kinds of equipment and without going out running on the roads in all kinds of weather.  I have seen people gain muscle and lose fat on this program.  This program will help you to be the strongest, fittest you that you can be.

It’s important to be consistent with the program.  . The trick is to be consistent. It will not happen overnight, but it WILL happen if you're consistent. Dedication and discipline are very powerful tools. Stay positive and motivated and you will amaze yourself!

One of the great things about this program is the team:  TEAM DDPYOGA. We all 'get together' over the internet and share stories and encouragement and keep each other motivated. The weekly show on Blogtalk radio is also good. If you can't be there on time, you can download the show and listen to it when you need to.  It's a great motivator.  None of us are constantly surrounded by positive people – TEAM DDPYOGA gives us a chance and a place to connect with positive people – people who understand what you are doing and are walking the same path.  It’s an invaluable resource!

If you stick with the program and the eating plan, you will see (and feel) the results.

Please feel free to write!

Arthur
