How do I explain dynamic tension to my wife?

Started this discussion. Last reply by Lori Jan 16. 6 Replies

My wife did day 1 (Diamond Dozen) with me, but she had some trouble understanding the concept of dynamic resistance (and I think she remembers too much of DDP from WCW since she also hit me with a…Continue

Day 5A I will keep on!!!

So my groin pull kept me mostly in bed for a while and that's cool...that's what it was. Today I felt better and by god I was going to do Energy today...and I did...and it was challenging, but that's good. It felt so good to complete it....sh** there were moments when my mind said STOP THIS and luckily I didn't listen. Thank you DDP. It didn't matter that I was hurt, it mattered that today I DID IT! Once again, thank you for that.See More

Day 4A: Revenge of the hip

I pulled something in my hip/groin the other day, so today I did the most I could do with as many mods as I could get in. I made it about 18 minutes before I tapped out. Still...for me, I think the important thing is to keep moving forward. I feel encouraged that I even wanted to do DDPYoga today. One step at a time, one step at a time.See More

I need to add something here: Due to my poor eating habits not changing I am not losing weight at a good pace BUT I have some muscle definition in my biceps, triceps, side of chest (what's that called), shoulders and glutes for the first time…

Day 2A Climbing the Mountain

Man I am in a mental fog something fierce this week. Still I put in Energy and climbed up the mountain one step at a time. What was getting easier is challenging again, but that's okay.See More

That's the best approach, bud.  I remember being in your position and it was hard at times.  Eventually, everything alligned and things began to simply 'click'.

DAY 1A Back on the Horse

The past four days have been rough. I've been feeling a bit down emotionally and physically and have been skipping my DDPYoga. Last night I decided that one way or another I HAD to do the workout today. It was important to me. So this morning I used mindfulness and simply popped in the Energy workout and started to go. I am starting over again, but for today I did it and that's what counts.See More

Day 19: FREAKIN FRIDAY

Yesterday was a tough day so I took a day off. My body needed to heal and frankly I was frakin tired. Since I was so beat down yesterday, I went with the Energy workout today. Still challenging, but man it feels good when done. I DO feel energized. I am finding that DDPYoga is helping me mentally as well. I didn't feel that down yesterday even though life was beating the sheet out of me.See More

Andrew let me just put it like this if I had it to do all over again I never would have done it... Does that work... I am actor and I was playing a part... The positive side is I learned a lot and I won't make that kind of mistake again:)

Welcome to Team DDPYOGA Andrew!  Congratulations on choosing better health.  DDPYOGA is an amazing tool of transformation if you work it.  And this is a great community of support, without which I wouldn't be where I am:  185 pounds lighter and unquantifiably freer.  I was 345 when I started DDPYOGA and clean eating in January 2009.  It's possible. It requires focus, determination, and some sacrifice, but I feel so much better when I'm moving, getting stronger, and eating clean.  The habits I've acquired through DDPYOGA and Dallas' advice (he totally walks the walk, too) are habits I want for LIFE. I do a blog on the journey, the one that never ends:  http://staceymorris-hungryforthetruth.blogspot.com .

DDPYOGA is one of the best support systems I've found - and here's a way you can get and give support through DDPYOGA:  tune in to DDPYOGA Radio at 9 p.m. every Wednesday.  It's an amazing forum where questions are answered, concerns are addressed and triumphs are shared.  The more people who show up, the more powerful the show is.  Hope you'll spread the word and be there!
