If you go to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's you can ask them for a list of their gluten free foods.  Trader Joe's is by product... Whole Foods is by the aisle.  You can keep the list and it makes it much easier so you don't have to read all the labels!!  Also, Whole Foods does Gluten Free tours of the store.

How did everybody make out during Super Bowl weekend? Did you stick to your plan or did you break down and pig out? Discuss.

"Hi Kitchen Warriors",
Just a short note to let y'all know that I am on a "High" today. I just started eating GF-organic food two weeks ago and have already lost 8 1/2 lbs!! It took a few weeks to learn what GF-organic foods are(with the help of Doug mostly...he met me at whole foods and I learned a lot there) and then I took off with what info.I had. This is, without a doubt, the program for me. I love Kitchen Warriors as part of this program because there are always new ideas and recipes which will keep us all from getting bored.

Hey y'all, just wanted to let you in on a new site I found through a client of mine. You might want to look in at www.kingarthurflour.com. Let me know what you think. I love some of their recipes and I think the site will definitely come in handy for all of us. They have GF products galore!

I bought some fresh blackberries because they looked really yummy. It wasn't until after I got home that I even began to think about how I was going to eat them. I used to put berries on my cereal when I ate it. I've never been a steady cereal eater since it doesn't stay with me and I have problems with milk. I'm not fond of soy milk and it's not fond of me either. I can't use almond milk since I have developed a sensitivity to almonds and rice milk for me is just too watery. I have a small amount of goat milk, but I use it mostly for cooking. Anyway, after munching on a couple of these blackberries I began to think about how I would eat them before they go bad. Well, as it happens, I have in my freezer a partially eaten pint of vanilla coconut milk ice cream. I wasn't crazy about the vanilla, I much prefer the chocolate, so I put about 1/3 cup of the ice cream in a bowl and topped it with a few of the blackberries. I let the ice cream soften until it was the consistency of a thin milk shake and ate the blackberries covered in this coconut milk cream. It made a yummy dessert,

Congratulations Diane!! Great willpower! The longer you treat your body right (no gluten, chemicals, etc), the easier it is to make the important lifestyle changes. YOU GO GIRL!!!
